Because Twitter has this broad term engagement they tend to spend your daily limit, well why wouldn't they, where LI is just cost per click. LI's minimum recommended price is about 2:50 per click any less than that and you ad doesnt get shown at the best times, meaning you get less response meaning it gets fewer impressions. You can see the viscious cycle here. LI also set a minimum daily limit of £8 where Twitter doesnt so as a test I started with £5.
